June 2020 Meeting:

Please join us for our June 2020 monthly meeting on Monday, June 8 from 7-9 p.m. **This is a zoom meeting, so you will need to RSVP below to get the meeting ID and password.**

We’ll be hearing from Geoff Gilbert, an Associate General Counsel at The Working World, who will be talking to us about his vision for building a solidarity economy in a post-COVID world. Geoff is an attorney committed to helping to build out the practices of non-extractive finance and solidarity economy lawyering. He joined The Working World as a volunteer in 2017 and started working at TWW in 2018 after graduating from Georgetown University Law Center. Outside of TWW, Geoff is also involved with progressive political organizing in Washington, DC, where he lives. Geoff has published a number of articles in Truthout, which you can read here.

We will also hear from Jessie Patton from SURJ NOVA about the NOVA mutual aid network and Kellen MacBeth from the Arlington Tenant-Landlord Commission on his initiative to form tenant unions in Arlington.

Lastly, we will have an open forum to discuss the racial justice protests and police riots and how to respond to them as a group.
